Jerusalem, British Mandate Era Walking Tour

This tour lasts about 2 hours, it is ideal for English speaking visitors to the Land of Israel interested in the modern history of Jerusalem. The British ruled the Land of Israel from 1917 to 1948, and they left an indelible impression on Jerusalem. We see some of the places, the buildings and hear some of the stories of those years. We move from the elation of the arrival of General Allenby after he defeated the Ottoman Empire to the dark years of the post WW2 Jewish uprising that included the bombing of the King David Hotel by the Irgun and we visit the prison where Meir Finestein and Moshe Barzini committed suicide on the eve of their execution.
